I think that you can only invest in short-term projects to make money. Recently I learned that Buffett does not invest in cryptocurrency, but only in gold.

I totally agree that many games are simply programmed. There are certain algorithms by which the game works. If the casino did not make money on it, it would have gone bankrupt long ago.
