Pragmatic Play, founded in 2015, are one of the most well known names in the Casino Industry. With more than 200 games, available in 31 languages and currencies, there’s something on offer for every player in the Pragmatic catalogue. Pragmatic Play offer games that work across mobile and desktop, with video slots, live casino games, and bingo games available. By considering the first Pragmatic video slot released, Tales of Egypt, against Buffalo King Megaways, a mid 2021 release, it’s clear to see the journey Pragmatic have taken, to improve upon graphics, potential, and overall user experience, offering new releases that are above and beyond their early stages.
“Pragmatic Play is a leading content provider to the iGaming Industry, offering a multi-product portfolio that is innovative, regulated and mobile-focused. Our passion for premium entertainment is unrivalled. We strive to create the most engaging and evocative experience for all our customers across a range of products, including slots, live casino and bingo.”
Popular Pragmatic Play Games
Pragmatic are releasing slots at an almost incomprehensible rate, and a quick browse through their gaming portfolio makes this clearer than ever. Whilst viewing the list of available games, it’s impressive to consider how “old” some games are, based on how many have been released since, whilst still feeling fresh in our eyes. Pragmatic Play also offer players the chance to bet higher, for an increased chance of landing the bonus, in slots such as Sweet Bonanza. With so many games to choose from, it might feel difficult to pinpoint which Pragmatic releases remain “the most popular”, but in our experience there are a few clear frontrunners.
First up, we have The Dog House Megaways. The Dog House release was incredibly popular, and Pragmatic took the features we love, added some extra features, and brought us The Dog House Megaways in Summer 2020, to the joy of players across the sector. Despite opting to not introduce cascades when licensing Big Time Gaming‘s Megaways mechanic, The Dog House Megaways offered up an enjoyable playing experience, with plenty of excitement. With a maximum win of over 12,000x, a choice of two bonuses, and a feature buy at a cost of 100x stake offering up to 6 scatters for up to 30 free spins, players took to The Dog House Megaways like… Well, like a dog to a bone.
For the second in this list, we’re heading back to 2019, to the release of Sweet Bonanza, which continues to be requested frequently – except, of course, at Christmas, when the requests come flooding in for its festive counterpart, Sweet Bonanza Xmas. Sweet Bonanza doesn’t operate on an adjacent cluster pays mechanic, instead just requiring a certain amount of a symbol anywhere in view to count as a win. Winning symbols are removed, and new symbols drop into place, offering chances for consecutive wins. During free spins, coloured candy bombs are available to facilitate huge wins, including a x100 multiplier, which might be how a maximum win of 21,100x is possible in this cavity-inducing slot.
Next up, it’s Fruit Party, released in Spring 2020. Strangely enough, Fruit Party seemed to fade beneath the surface upon release, and then sprung to the forefront of the sector later in the year, potentially helped by the amount of huge wins that made their way to YouTube & Twitch. Adopting a cluster pays mechanic, Fruit Party offered players maximum wins of 5,000x through the help of multipliers within free spins and the base game, which when working together can multiply cluster wins by as much as x256. Fruit Party 2 is set for release August 2021, so we’re excited to see where Pragmatic take this healthier adaption next…
Coming in at fourth on our list it’s Gems Bonanza, another cluster pays release which is a personal favourite of ours. Taking on an Aztec theme, players can journey through 5 levels of the Gold Fever Bonus, with a host of modifiers to help along the way, including wild gems, colossal gems, up to 15 wilds at random, and smaller selections of random symbols. With wins on offer up to 10,000x in size, high volatility, and a feature buy worth 100x bet, Gems Bonanza is a popular choice not just for us, but for viewers who want to witness some excitement.
Finally, it’s Buffalo King Megaways, which once again takes on the Megaways License, this time accompanied by “tumbles”. Each tumble removes winning symbols from the board, allowing new symbols to drop into place to potentially form new wins. Multiplying Wilds work alongside tumbles, with values up to x5, and multipliers first being multiplied together, then multiplying the entire tumble, or spin, win. Win values up to 5,000x bet are available in Buffalo King Megaways, which is highly volatile with a default RTP of 96.52%.
*Despite Big Bass Bonanza arguably being one of the most requested games, Big Bass Bonanza is a release from Reel Kingdom in partnership with Pragmatic Play, and whilst we reserve this list for slots released solely by Pragmatic Play, a special mention must go to Big Bass Bonanza, a game we see requested at least once per stream.

Our Biggest Pragmatic Play Win
Our biggest Pragmatic win was also one of our biggest saves. During a Live Stream in May 2021, we were on a rough journey: things weren’t going well, and we couldn’t seem to hit a bonus, but not for lack of trying. Being a Sunday, we were playing through viewer suggestions, and one viewer chose Juicy Fruits, released by Pragmatic Play in February 2021. After such a long period of next to no excitement, we decided to buy the bonus for €250 (a €2.50 stake).
Pragmatic continue to make it clear that not every game in their portfolio offers a feature buy, but they will continue to offer a feature buy where they feel applicable, based upon feedback from players. You can watch what happened with our feature buy below…
